I have even grown them in whiskey barrel containers or larger containers and finally you can easily grow potatoes in raised beds as well if you want an abundant harvest.




Potatoes are very easy to grow they produce abundantly and hence they become a great survival food to grow in your garden while the grocery stores are running out of potatoes this is your chance to grow fresh potatoes at home.


Now if you want to take it a notch further, you can start growing taro root, taro root is very nutrition dense it's very starchy it's a nuttier cousin of the potato and it's not really easy to grow but will leave your taste buds absolutely pleased.

Second herbs and other greens herbs like cilantro are extremely easy to grow during crisis times you can grow cilantro very easily in five-gallon or smaller containers and they add a nice spice, a nice zest to your salads to anything that you cook and it's just so easy to grow at home.

I have grown cilantro under grow lights very easily, I have also grown them in aluminum trays by just using sand or perlite or compost, so all in all cilantro is extremely easy to grow in your home garden.


Leafy greens like lettuce are excellent to grow during crisis times just because they keep you very full, greens like lettuce which can come in a variety of different flavors that you can grow at home can be easily harvested and eaten as a salad.



You can throw in some olive oil some nuts and it makes a really wholesome dish or food that you can consume which will not only provide you a lot of fiber to keep you full, but will also keep you very healthy by providing essential vitamins and minerals.



There are many varieties of lettuce that you can grow at home and they can also be grown very easily in small containers and in small spaces.

Radish is extremely easy to grow during extreme times, or during crisis times just because they grow very quickly, these early maturing radishes take anywhere from 30 to 40 days to mature.


And give you an excellent harvest that can be eaten raw or cooked and some of these radish varieties are so quick maturing that you can just sow the seeds in any shallow tray or any shallow container and with no time, you will get an abundant harvest of radish.


Radish grown at home is not only very fresh, you can eat the radish bulbs or the root as well as the greens and they taste amazing, I have grown radish in extremely shallow containers as shallow as six inches or so and they come in a lot of colors.


The white radish, the red crimson, lot of different colors extremely easy to grow at home during a crisis times and this is one vegetable that I definitely recommend that you start growing if you haven't tried already.

Just because it's very easy to grow, especially for a new gardener or someone who's just getting into gardening, but even for experienced gardeners this is a very easy crop to grow in your home garden.


Tomatoes now the grocery stores have all run out of tomatoes and potatoes and you can easily grow tomatoes very nice fresh and delicious tomatoes at home.


They come in a lot of colors like the Sun Gold, select tomato variety as well as the red tomatoes and quick maturing Tomatoes like the early girl, but the big boy they are very easy to grow at home and will produce a lot of tomatoes.

Beans are something that's packed with protein and is very delicious, we've been growing bush beans in very compact areas for quite some time and they produce abundantly.

Bush beans can be grown not only in raised beds but also in several types of containers and there are a lot of different types of beans, that you can grow like the asparagus bean which is also packed with protein and is very delicious.


You have the green beans, French beans and the yellow wax beans and I've grown beans in smaller containers as well as larger containers, bush beans grow extremely well in almost any type of container and produce abundantly.

Beans are extremely delicious when you grow them at home they're crunchy, they're flavorful and they're very nice and they also contain a lot of fiber to keep you full and it also has a lot of protein that will keep you strong and healthy.

I've grown bush beans in smaller containers like 5-gallon containers very easily and if you have the space, go ahead and plant pole beans, pole beans take up a lot more space to grow however you can grow them vertically using the EZ trellis method.


They produce abundantly, just because they have a lot of areas to grow in, but no matter how you grow your beans, or which type of beans you grow, beans are very prolific and  A very good survival crop that you can grow during extreme times.
